A new cafe and bar called Tawny appears to be heading to 173 Henry Street, according to liquor license paperwork filed with the community board this month. The space formerly belonged to Latch Key Gallery.

Jeremie Egiazarian, a native New Yorker, is the owner behind the forthcoming spot.

Egiazarian describes the spot as a coffee and wine bar in the filed paperwork. It will operate during both daytime and evening, with proposed hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and hours extended to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The proposed menu features a classic lineup of handcrafted espresso beverages as well as some tea options. The menu offers a selection of natural wines and some beer options. In terms of food offerings, customers can expect items like a Napa salad, cheese, cured meats, caviar and baked goods.

Plans call for 10 tables that will seat 20, as well as one bar that will seat three. The paperwork indicates that a live acoustic music element is also expected to be incorporated into the concept.

As of now, an exact opening timeline for Tawny remains unknown.
