According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, San Carlos’s Sushi Kazoku plans to relocate to a new address in the city.
Coming to 920 El Camino Real, landing about a five-minute drive away from the eatery’s current spot at 1201 Laurel Street, the restaurant will soon be neighbored by establishments such as the American restaurant Broiler Express, the sandwich shop Lou’s Cafe, and the American diner The Refuge.
“We are planning to open next month,” Jiaming Liao, the restaurant’s owner, tells What Now San Francisco. He elaborates, sharing that he and the other owners are painting the space right now and ordering supplies in preparation to open in the new, bigger space. Additionally, he says that Sushi Kazoku will remain open on Laurel Street until the business opens at the El Camino Real address.
The menu will remain as it is. A selection of Japanese fare ranging from sushi — think sashimi, nigiri, and classic and signature rolls — as well as rice and protein bowls (topped with ingredients such as bluefin tuna and shredded beef), ramen, and udon dishes.
