According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, local concept Headlands Brewing plans to debut a new taproom in the Bay Area.
Coming to 2465 Bancroft Way in Berkeley, the eatery will land near establishments such as the performing arts center Cal Performances, the bakery Crumbl, and the coffee shop Qargo Coffee.
What Now San Francisco reached out to one of the concept’s co-owners, Phil Cutti, to inquire about his plans for the upcoming location; however, he could not provide additional information before publication.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the brewery, it offers a brief introduction on its website, sharing, “Headlands’ journey began when two home brewers met on a boat headed to the Farallon Islands with a plan to swim the 30 miles, through the great white shark habitat, back to the Point Bonita lighthouse.”
It was founded in 2013 in Mill Valley by Cutti, Patrick Horn, and Inna Volynskaya. Today, it operates three locations: a brewery in Berkeley, a brewery and beer garden in Lafayette, and a taproom and beer garden in Walnut Creek.
An opening date has not been announced yet. Follow What Now San Francisco on Facebook for updates.
