Shawarma pitas and grilled shrimp are just a couple menu items for a new Lebanese restaurant coming to Canton.

Staff of Lavash Lebanese Cuisine have been taking to social media to advertise their new restaurant coming to 46042 Michigan Avenue. This will be replacing Kung Po House which is listed as closed. An associate at the restaurant said it should be open in about two weeks, as staff are waiting for final approval from Wayne County.

A menu has not been released, but Lebanese dishes like shawarma pitas, crispy chicken salad and grilled shrimp are being advertised on their website.. It looks like coffees will also be served at the location as well. There is also a Lavash Grill in Southfield, but this looks to be a separate business.

“Our chefs use fresh ingredients and traditional recipes to create mouthwatering dishes that will transport you to the streets of Beirut,” says the description on their Instagram page.

The owner is Mohamad Abdulwahed, who when asked for an exact opening date did not yet provided one. It will be in the plaza next to Subway and Little Caesar’s Pizza. This is a commercial area of Canton with restaurants and bakeries nearby.
