A new project is coming to Frankfort’s developing Cappel Commons area.
Solyne Coffee is coming to 21000 S Frankfort Square Road, Unit A, from recent reports. The project was approved by the Frankfort Village Board, and construction is happening inside. Owner Wdian Rahmon told What Now Chicago she is hoping to open sometime in January.
Rahmon has been planning the coffee spot for about a year. She has worked in different fields including as a fashion consultant and in a circus, and she has had the idea of opening a coffee shop in the back of her mind. Following a car accident where she almost lost her life, she wanted to finally pursue this dream as she was given another chance.
“It’s a new start,” Rahmon said.
Along with coffees and teas, desserts are being served at a small bakery area. Rahmon is awaiting approval from the Health Department, then she can start fixing the menu how she wants it. She is working with her sister and a friend to open the cafe, and they are designing the space to be welcoming for friends and family.
“I want the palace to be cozy,” Rahmon said.
The shop is neighboring Pete Mitchell’s Bar & Grill on the east side of Frankfort. This is across the street from Kismet Restaurant and the New Image bar.
Rahmon has not yet created a website for the business, but more information will be released online soon.
