The sweets and coffee shop just across the Indiana border is set to debut soon.

Indiana Sweets is a new business coming to the town of Dyer at 1468 Joliet Street. It will serve knafeh among other desserts and drinks. A representative from the restaurant told What Now Chicago the team is hoping to open in about a month.

“Knafeh & crepes & waffles with chocolate,” says the description on their Instagram page. No full menu has been released online as of yet.

Indiana Sweets is opening on the east side of Dyer, close to the Hog Haven barbecue spot. The shop is also across the street from Pop’s Beef, The Original Rainbow Cone and a Dunkin’ location. This is east of downtown Dyer, and less than two miles from the Illinois-Indiana border.

The business was officially registered on the Indiana.gov site on Dec. 22, 2025. It comes from owners Sufyan Azaar, Anas Aqra and Joma Zaid. What Now Chicago has reached out to the owners again and is awaiting further comment on the opening.

The building was formerly The Stadium Sports Bar, a local spot that served drinks as well as traditional bar food. An exact date of closure has not been confirmed.

For more information on Indiana Sweets and the opening date, visit their Instagram or Facebook pages.
