Local Favorite Bringing More Southern Comfort to Jonesboro

The Southern Chef is planning to open its 8th location next spring.

A Jonesboro-favorite is looking to the future. The Southern Chef, beloved for its comfort food fare, has announced that it will be opening its 8th area location next year.

 

The restaurant will also have a truck stop and will be located on “Highland Drive and Nestle Way right beside Nestle factory.” A social media post announcing the new storefront stated that The Southern Chef anticipates the space being up, running, and ready to greet customers in spring of 2027. 

 

The Southern Chef is a Jonesboro institution and a proud member of the community. Its post reflects its commitment to its neighborhood, saying “Fantastic News for Jonesboro! We are investing back in our community. Thank you Jonesboro for all the support over the years.”

 

The restaurant has earned a dedicated fan-following through its delectable and comforting cuisine. As the website states: “we celebrate the simplicity and heartiness of Southern cuisine. Our story is rooted in delivering freshly prepared comfort food that warms the soul. From fluffy buttermilk pancakes to savory omelets and mouth-watering burgers, each dish is crafted with care and a touch of Southern hospitality. Customers rave about our flavorful offerings, especially our hand-tossed Philly steak and succulent BBQ sandwiches.”
