Students and locals of Lansing are getting ready for a new coffee and tea option.
Scooter’s Coffee is the newest early day drink option coming to East Lansing at 3335 E Michigan Avenue. This would be the company’s first venture in the Lansing area. An opening date hasn’t been released, but it will be sometime later this summer.
The new Scooter’s is being debuted by franchisees Michael Endres and Bryan Bender. Endres is a Michigan State alumnus, and previously opened shops in Brighton, Plymouth and Livonia, per a report from Lansing State Journal. Signage is not yet up at the new location.
Cafes serve both drinks and food, with coffee favorites such as the iced fudgelicious latte, an espresso with mocha and vanilla, drizzled in chocolate and topped with whipped cream. Locations also offer thirst quenchers with fruit flavors, teas and lemonade. For food options, sandwiches, pastries and breakfast burritos are a few options.
The coffee spot is coming to the north side of E Michigan Avenue, near the Friendship Circle Entrance. This area has a mix of commercial and residential units, and Altu’s Ethiopian Cuisine is right across the street. Michigan State University’s Main campus is a short walk east of the building.
What Now Detroit has reached out to Endres and Bender and is awaiting comment.
