A new and slightly mysterious restaurant is getting ready to feed Memphis diners. A concept registered as “Alfresco Flavas Bar N Grill” has filed papers to open on Madison Avenue.
The eatery is planning to open at 1299 Madison Avenue. Alfresco Flavas Bar N Grill has a certificate of occupancy currently under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of July 23.
The concept-described only as “Restaurant with sale of alcoholic beverages, Brew Pub”-will span 2,600 square feet and will have an occupant load of 49.
Little information is available about Alfresco Flavas Bar N Grill. However the restaurant is registered to James Smith-the same restaurateur behind Flava House. Given the shared ownership and remarkably similar names, it seems probable that the new restaurant will be thematically similar, featuring delicious Cajun fare.
With a certificate of occupancy under review, it seems likely that details are forthcoming soon. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership and will update readers as more information becomes available.
