Mississippi poultry royalty is getting ready to cluck its way into the hearts and stomachs of Memphis-area diners. Connie’s Chicken has set its sights on Olive Branch for its fourth location, and it should be ready to welcome customers before the year is out, reports Commercial Appeal.

The restaurant will be opening at 8220 Goodman Road. If all goes according to plan, owners Nickle Smith, Tres Braswell and Chad Blalack anticipate being customer-ready in early October.

Olive Branch chicken enthusiasts are in for a treat. Connie’s Chicken crafts all of its dishes from incredibly fresh, never-frozen ingredients. Co-owner Blalack explained to Commercial Appeal that part of what makes the cuisine so memorable is that it’s made from “”A seed-oil-free recipe cooked in 100% beef tallow.”

The Connie’s Chicken team is as excited about entering Olive Branch as Olive Branch poultry fans will be about welcoming the restaurant. They recognize the neighborhood as growing, vital, and eager to embrace new dining options.

Connie’s currently has locations open in Oxford, Tupelo, and Starkville. The website offers a glimpse at what makes the chain so special, saying: “Connie’s Chicken brings bold Southern comfort food to the table, made fresh every day with quality ingredients and a whole lot of Tenders Love and Care. From our flavorful, hand-crafted chicken tenders to golden donuts, warm biscuits, and char-broiled favorites, every bite is made to satisfy.”
