The owners of a popular coffee spot in St. Clair Shores are working on expansion this year.
New Order Coffee Roasters will soon feature a new cafe and larger kitchen at the 25107 Jefferson Avenue shop, per a report from Crain’s Detroit Business. Owner Patrick Seeney is also adding a walk-up window for ordering food and drinks. An estimated opening date for the space has not yet been announced.
“New Order is a small-batch roaster located in Southeast Michigan. Founded with a gleeful defiance to the status quo, New Order has a singular aim: To delight and energize everyday lives with our coffee!” Says the description on their website.
The shop, established in 2022, already serves food items like breakfast sandwiches, a chorizo avocado sandwich, breakfast burritos and baked goods. This is alongside their coffees, teas and refreshers. For the cafe, Seeney is planning on expanding the food menu, and new options have not yet been announced.
The coffee spot is on the west side of Jefferson Avenue, in between Pat O’Brien’s bar and Baffin Brewing Company. This stretch near E 10 Mile Road is home to many other restaurants and bars, and is also close to the lake. From a recent post, the space looks to be going in the back of the building.
When speaking with staff at New Order Coffee, they told What Now Detroit the opening will likely be next year as the team is still working with the city on plans. For more updates on the future cafe, visit their Instagram or Facebook pages.
