UPDATE (Sept. 12, 2018): Here’s The Menu For Banshee, Opening in East Atlanta Village September 18

The restaurant replacing My Sister’s Room in the East Atlanta Village (EAV) has been named Banshee, Eater Atlanta Friday first reported.

Former Ford Fry and Wrecking Bar employees Peter Chvala, Nolan Wynn, Faielle Stocco, and Katie McDonald announced plans for Banshee, less the name, at the end of 2017.

The word Banshee refers to the female spirit in Irish mythology “who heralds the death of a family member, usually by wailing, shrieking, or keening.”

What Now Atlanta earlier this year uncovered a permit application filed with the City of Atlanta for Banshee, but at the time, was unable to confirm the name.

An estimated $110,000 will be spent converting the 2,000-square-foot space, at 1271 Glenwood Avenue, into the new restaurant concept.

Construction will including renovating the existing kitchen and dining room.

No exterior work will be done.

Stop in Tuesday through Saturday for dinner and late night snacks and brunch on Sunday.
