A local business owner is getting ready to introduce her book shop in time for students going back to school.

A new concept has been listed online called The Book Boutique, coming to 13 W Campbell Street in Arlington Heights. This is just south of the Metra station, and is part of a chain of development in the downtown area. Owner Anna Freitag told What Now Chicago she does not have a specific opening date but is hoping to debut her new concept sometime in the fall.

Freitag has had the idea of opening her own book shop for a while, mainly as a way to bring the community together. Inside, she plans to sell mostly new books and novels, along with office supplies like planners and stationary. She already runs an online business to support book stores around the country, and always had the idea to debut her own brick-and-mortar.

“We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome you to a space filled with stories, adventure, and a place that feels like home,” says a recent post from Freitag.

The Book Boutique is opening right across from Vanessa’s Modern Bride shop and The World’s Oldest Sport store. The book store will be between Scratchboard Kitchen and Salsa 17 Mexican restaurant. It will be a short walk from Harmony Park.

As it gets closer to the opening, more information on the bookstore can be found on their Instagram @the_book_boutique_.
