Wingstop, the chicken wing mega-chain with more than 2,500 locations worldwide, is continuing to grow its footprint in the Austin area. This week, What Now came across a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation showing a new Wingstop planned for 1920 E Riverside Drive, Suite D-100.
Wingstop is known for its wide variety of flavor profiles. On the Wingstop website, you can Find Your Flavor, be it something saucy or a dry rub. On the No Heat level, try Garlic Parmesan or Hawaiian. Dragging the slider just past Some Heat, you’ll find the Hot Honey Rub, the Original Hot sauce, and Spicy Korean Q. If you’re looking for All the Heat, you can try Atomic. (In which case, best of luck!)
“Wingstop quickly became a fan favorite when we first opened our doors in 1994,” says the Wingstop website’s About Us page. “Our proprietary recipes, outstanding food and superior customer service created a demand that could only be satisfied by more locations. And in 1997 we began offering franchises. Today we are one of the fastest-growing concepts in the country, attracting top entrepreneurs and operators with the drive and passion to own their own business.”
Behind the planned location is major Wingstop franchisee Rise Up Restaurants. The filing calls for a renovation of a 2,535-square-foot space, with construction expected to run from August 14 to November 22.
Opening in the East Riverside Drive location, Wingstop would join nearby restaurants like Pho Please, The Buzz Mill, and Rosita’s Al Pastor.
