According to a recent article from the Daily Herald, Issa’s Venezuelan Restaurant is set to open another location in Bartlett at 207 S Main St.
A representative of Issa’s Venezuelan Restaurant was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, throughout the past two years, the space at 207 S. Main St. stood as the village’s sole vacant restaurant area, with a generous floor area that is described as being double the size of Issa’s original location.
There have been significant investments made in enhancing this new space, with documented improvements amounting to $50,227. The village’s commitment to local businesses through its grant program, which allocates a portion of video gambling taxes to support ventures that contribute to sales tax revenue, is present throughout the renovations of the space.
For Issa’s Venezuelan Restaurant, this program has translated into a 34% grant recommendation, totaling $17,000, to aid in the creation of their second location. The grant has the ability to cover up to 50% of project costs and is capped at $50,000, according to the Daily Herald’s article.
Issa’s Venezuelan Restaurant is described to have captured the essence of Venezuelan cuisine, featuring an array of dishes that encompass the spirit of this South American nation. From Tequeños to Cordon Blue de Pollo, the menu beckons diners to embark on a culinary journey through Venezuela’s flavors.
Specialties like Jamon Queso & Peperoni, Domino, and Chicharron are also alongside the menu. Their days of operation at their current location are Tuesday through Sunday, according to the company website.
