The national favorite has chosen the western suburb as the newest location to set up shop.
A new Olive Garden is now in the works for the developing marketplace at 978 Edward Lane in Yorkville. This will be the first sit-down restaurant in this shopping center. An opening date has not yet been set, but it is estimated to be sometime in 2027.
Olive Garden currently has over 30 locations in Illinois, many in Chicagoland. The nearest ones to the upcoming Yorkville restaurant are in Oswego and Naperville. This chain has been in the Chicago area since the 1980s.
Those who are familiar with the restaurant’s menu know the endless breadsticks are a popular item. For entrees, many choose their pastas like chicken alfredo and shrimp alfredo. Other favorites are the ravioli carbonara, lasagna classico and shrimp scampi.
From site plans online, the new location will be larger format and feature multiple rooms. It is opening near the current Target, on the south end of the Kendall Marketplace development. A Smoothie King is also in the plaza, and this is just north of Route 34.
