The new neighborhood bar is set to be a soccer fan haven for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It was reported by Block Club Chicago that Soccer House is opening at 501 N Ogden Avenue in West Town. The space will be a prime location to catch soccer matches in the neighborhood. Owner of the bar Garret Drexler told What Now Chicago he is anticipating a spring 2026 opening.
The bar will also serve food from around the world, with flavors from Argentina, Brazil and Germany as a few options. These dishes will be paired with drinks, such as beer and cocktails. The drinks and food menus will be released at a later date.
“Our space brings together all the elements of an ideal soccer fan experience,” said Drexler in the press release.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is happening in June and July, so Drexler is hopeful the bar will open just in time for the matches. While the bar is being built for Chicago’s soccer community, it is also a space for locals to connect. There will be multiple rooms to watch matches, and rooftop is to feature a beer garden with TVs.
Soccer House is at the corner of N Ogden and W Grand avenues, across the street from Move Along Coffee. This is not far from Fulton Market District, which is southeast of West Town
