Dining at The Gem Museum Suites will soon be an option for not only those staying there.

The Gem Museum Suites in Evanston recently posted on Craigslist that the hotel, at 1555 Oak Avenue, is looking for an experienced head chef to join the staff. This is for the new Milos restaurant set to open next month. The menu hasn’t been made public, but it will be a Greek restaurant that will also have American dishes from the “OakGrove corner” menu section.

According to Ted Daskalopoulos, food and beverage director for The Gem, the new restaurant will be opening in about a month or so. It is going to have outdoor dining in the garden as well as a bar.

Currently there is a restaurant inside that only serves breakfast for those staying at the location. Evanston RoundTable reported that the hotel opened in July 2024. It is known for its many international flags that fly by the front door.

As the hotel is in a commercial area of Evanston, there are many dining options near the hotel. This includes Table to Stix Ramen, Trattoria Demi, Habibi In Mediterranean Grill and 100 Chicken.

As of now, there is no set opening date. More information can be found on their website thegemsuites.com.
