According to an article from the Daily Herald, the owners of Chrissoulas will soon open another concept called Teeko’s Acai in the Vernon Hills Town Center.

A representative of Teeko’s Acai was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed and overall information on Teeko’s Acai is currently limited, according to the article, a part of Chrissoulas transformation into West Side Ramen will be to accommodate the opening of Teeko’s Acai.

“The new business model will be easier to run, be more lucrative and allow the brothers time to pursue a new venture involving a planned string of Acai shops. The target market for the bowls filled with the nutrient-dense acai berry will be a younger demographic, according to Nick Dimitriou.”

“That’s just the first one,” he said of the Vernon Hills location in the Daily Herald article. “We plan on opening a number of these.”

The two owners are Nick and Theo Dimitriou. According to Chrissoulas’ website, “Chef Nick began his culinary journey working front of the house in various North Shore restaurants, eventually making his way back to the kitchen, where his true passion lies.”

“Nick was the Executive Chef at the prominent Philly G’s in Lincolnshire for 8+ years before closing their doors in 2017. Join us and you’ll likely see Nick on the floor, greeting customers and managing our day-to-day business.”

“Chef Theo began his culinary journey as a line cook at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, IL. Theo advanced to find his niche working in true, chef-driven kitchens throughout downtown Chicago.”

“Theo previously was the Executive Chef of San Diego’s leading French Bistro and crêpery before returning home to open Chrissoulas with his brother Nick. Although Chef is always busy back in the kitchen, he enjoys stepping out onto the floor to present his dishes directly to our customers.”
