Dutch Bros, the renowned drive-thru coffee chain, is gearing up for an exciting new development in Colorado Springs. The company is planning to convert a former Sonic Drive-In into a new location to replace a small existing kiosk on the same site — 878 W Garden of the Gods — permits show.

The 1.3-acre property currently houses a tiny Dutch Bros location. The new, expanded store will offer more room for queuing customers and staff. Pre-application documents were submitted to the city of Colorado Springs in May.

Dutch Bros’ extensive menu, which includes a variety of coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, has made it a beloved brand across the Western United States. It was founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, starting out with a single pushcart. The company has since grown to over 400 locations.

The brand is well-known for its friendly, energetic service and strong community involvement. Through their “Dutch Luv” program, they have donated millions of dollars to various causes, reflecting their dedication to giving back to the community.
