Rapidly growing breakfast, brunch, and lunch concept Eggs Up Grill is opening three locations in the area, starting with a site in Germantown at 9155 Poplar Ave.
Franchise owners Dana McCubbin, Roseann Heckendorf, and Wayland Rice plan to start with a new 3,600-square-foot location near the Shops at Forest Hill in Summer 2023, according to a press release. The restaurant will have 144 indoor seats designed in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere. The Germantown site will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with available dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering, and delivery options. Following this, the trio will open two more sites in the Memphis area.
“What we are bringing to the community is much more than breakfast, it’s a faith-based culture and experience of family and community like no other,” McCubbin said in a press release. “Our goal is to enrich the lives of those around us, make customers feel like family, and serve the best breakfast, brunch, and lunch in town.”
Eggs Up Grill now has 65 locations in six states. The fast-growing franchise concept plans to enter Texas and Mississippi soon and has about 170 Eggs Up Grills open, under development, or committed to open by local franchise partners. When these locations open in the area, customers can expect breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy, muffins, and a few lunch options like burgers.
McCubbin and her husband are longtime residents of Collierville and fell in love with the concept after visiting a location in North Carolina. They felt it was an ideal business opportunity to bring home to Memphis, specifically Germantown, where there is a growing need for better breakfast options. Before this, McCubbin owned a marketing firm. She will embark on this journey in partnership with Heckendorf and Rice.
