Plantation is getting a new coffee and kava cafe.

Neo Coffee and Kava recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a cafe at 1483 S. University Drive in August. Designed as an upscale coffee and kava bar, Neo will offer a welcoming, alcohol-free gathering place that transitions seamlessly from a daytime café into an evening social lounge.

The approximately 2,400-square-foot venue will feature two bars, lounge seating and an industrial-inspired design created by owner Ruth Connors. According to its website, the menu will include specialty coffee, espresso drinks, kava, botanical relaxation beverages and handcrafted zero-proof cocktails, alongside a health-conscious food selection featuring breakfast tacos, avocado toast, grain bowls, salads, wraps, smoothies, protein shakes and cold-pressed juices.

Neo Coffee will serve as a great space to work and refresh with a beverage during the day. In the evening, guests can meet friends enjoy entertainment, and sip kava and elixirs in a sophisticated setting without alcohol.

With its combination of premium coffee, traditional kava, nutritious fare and community-centered programming, Neo Coffee and Kava aims to offer Plantation residents a stylish new destination for connection, relaxation and healthy living
