Edgar Victoria announced in an Instagram post earlier this month that he will be opening his first brick-and-mortar location of Alebrije.

The new spot appears to be going in at 604 Gallatin Ave., formerly home to Otaku Ramen, according to the Nashville Scene.

Victoria has been operating his food truck since 2022, and he has been doing pop-ups around the area for the past few years. He serves a variety of tacos, elote, quesadillas, tostadas, sope and churros.

The new location will still offer a casual Mexican menu, but customers can expect a more high-end menu at the brick-and-mortar spot.

“The menu will be heavy on vegetables, because there are so many ways to cook them,” Victoria told the Nashville Scene. “It frees up a lot of creativity.”

Victoria is currently working on designs and art for the walls, and he is planning to renovate the kitchen as needed to convert it from a ramen kitchen to one that will work for Alebrije.

Customers can expect coffee and Mexican breakfast items in the morning, a dine-in lunch and a small menu for pickup in the evening.

As of now, Alebrije is expected to open by the end of the year.
