Gracie Nguyen and Chad Newton, founders of You Are Here Hospitality, have a new concept heading to East Nashville this year. Golden Prawn #3 will join Riverside Village this summer, bringing a Chinese takeout concept to the area, according to a release.
The concept will serve as an ode to beloved Chinese takeout classics. Nguyen will tap into her skills of traditional wok cooking from her experience working with Chinese and Vietnamese chefs. The menu will include wok-fired dishes served from a hot bar and an à la carte menu, and the spot will be open for both lunch and dinner.
You Are Here Hospitality is collaborating with Fresh Creative Studios on the design, which will center around a red, gold and cream color palette. The atmosphere will have a warm, nostalgic theme. Design elements will include a neon sign at the entrance, custom prawn-themed wallpaper and framed vintage Chinese takeout menus.
Nguyen and Newton are not new to the Nashville restaurant scene. You Are Here Hospitality launched with its flagship concept East Side Banh Mi, which opened in 2020 in East Nashville and serves Vietnamese cuisine. Since then, they have developed a strong portfolio of Nashville concepts, including Sweeza Super Quesadilla, East Side Pho and Fly Pelican Fly, which all are located inside The Wash food hall in East Nashville.
Riverside Village has seen quite a bit of activity recently in terms of its restaurant scene. It recently welcomed popular Texas-based concept Curry Boys BBQ, and acclaimed chef Sean Brock just opened his newest concept, Sho Pizza Bar, there earlier this month.
