Sbarro is expanding to The Shops at Mission Viejo as part of the retail complex’s recent additions and upgrades, Aliso Viejo Living announced. The growing franchise has been confirmed as an upcoming tenant at the mall, located at 555 The Shops at Mission Viejo.
The brand tells What Now OC that Andy Kurum, a new franchisee, expects to open by the end of June, though an exact date is still to be determined. It will be in the upper-level dining pavilion of the mall, between Dizzy Bird and Smashburger, a directory shows.
“Bringing this iconic international pizza brand to our community is a dream come true,” said Kurum. “This is my first Sbarro restaurant, and I’m incredibly proud to be starting my journey with the brand that’s known worldwide for their Original XL NY pizza-by-the-slice. I’m excited to deliver the same quality and flavor people expect, right here in our own backyard.”
Its pending arrival was announced in conjunction with a number of other popular chains that are also coming to The Shops, as reported by What Now OC. Iron King Mongolian Kitchen, Jamba Juice, Chagee, North Italia, Pacific Catch, and Buffalo Wild Wings are all confirmed tenants as well.
