La Luna Market and Grill will replace Groceries & Taqueria, shifting the focus to a neighborhood market format centered on convenience and curated everyday items. The market is slated to open late summer at 859 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim.
The business has applied for an off-sale beer and wine license, a permit that allows retail stores to sell alcoholic beverages intended for consumption off-site. Commonly associated with markets and convenience-style concepts, this license would enable the business to expand its offerings to include beer and wine alongside its other retail items.
Speaking with What Now, La Luna Market and Grill owner Maher Hani Haddad shared that the concept will likely feature takeout food, beverages, and a variety of staple bodega items. While it represents his first venture into this segment, he already has experience running other businesses.
According to Maher, La Luna Market and Grill is centered on starting modestly while building a strong, consistent presence in the neighborhood. “We want to start small, offering five to six types of sandwiches and fries, and grow from there,” he said.
