A minor renovation project is planned for an existing H-E-B location in New Braunfels, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The project, listed as “New Braunfels 01 Fresh Initiative,” will take place at the H-E-B store located at 651 S. Walnut Ave. in New Braunfels. The work is described as a minor interior remodel within the existing supermarket and carries an estimated construction cost of $502,000.
According to project details, the scope includes updates to approximately 540 square feet inside the store. The renovation will take place at the existing H-E-B facility and does not involve new construction or expansion of the building.
Construction is expected to begin on August 24, 2026, and reach completion by September 14, 2026. The project is privately funded and will be carried out on private property.
H-E-B Grocery Company LP is listed as the owner of the project. Absolute Design Partners is the design firm attached to the filing.
The New Braunfels store has long served the local community along Walnut Avenue, with the planned upgrades expected to modernize a small portion of the existing retail space.
