Jeff’s Beach Burgers, a La Jolla burger restaurant carrying on the legacy of the former Jeff’s Burgers, is getting ready to open a new location at UC San Diego’s Triton Center in La Jolla.

The new location will be part of Triton Center, a four-building complex currently under development at the geographic center of the UC San Diego campus, according to a commercial brochure from Next Wave Commercial Real Estate. The project is projected to open in Fall 2026. Jeff’s Beach Burgers and Intermission Cafe are listed as two upcoming tenants, along with Goop Kitchen. Customers can expect the burger shop’s existing lineup of burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, and breakfast items. Jeff’s Beach Burgers currently operates at 2134 Avenida De La Playa in La Jolla Shores.

The Triton Center location will bring Jeff’s Beach Burgers closer to the heart of UC San Diego’s campus. The 10-acre project will include approximately 332,000 square feet across four buildings, with student services, health and well-being resources, event spaces, an alumni and welcome center, and gallery space. The development will also include an expansive plaza for campus events and gatherings.

The restaurant’s menu includes a 1/4 LB Hamburger, cheeseburger, El Jefe double burger, veggie burger, grilled chicken sandwich, grilled chicken club, and all-beef hot dog. The restaurant also serves an all-day breakfast sandwich made with two eggs, two slices of cheese, and two strips of bacon.

The new restaurant will be an excellent landing space for Jeff’s Beach Burgers, with Triton Center located near the UC San Diego Blue Line trolley station, Epstein Family Amphitheater, academic buildings, and student housing. Approximately 50,000 customers are on campus daily, while the university has more than 43,000 students and 23,000 faculty and staff, according to the Next Wave brochure. The brochure also notes that on-campus student housing is projected to grow from approximately 22,000 residents to more than 27,000 by 2030.
