T&T Supermarket, a Canadian Asian grocery chain, is set to open a new store in Etobicoke at CF Sherway Gardens, located at 25 The West Mall.
The Sherway Gardens location is expected to open in Summer 2027 on the mall’s lower level, taking over the space previously occupied by Pusateri’s Fine Foods, which closed in January 2023. Tina Lee, T&T’s CEO, told Retail Insider that customers had been requesting a location in Etobicoke and cited the success of the company’s store at CF Fairview Mall as a reason for expanding with another Cadillac Fairview property. Sal Iacono, President of Cadillac Fairview, said the store is expected to be a significant addition to the community.
The new store will cover roughly 40,000 square feet and will feature fresh fruits and vegetables, live seafood, premium meats, bakery items, ready-to-eat meals, sushi, and an Asian hot food bar. Additional offerings include Asian grocery products and an Asian beauty section featuring K-beauty and skincare brands. Approximately 120 jobs are expected to be created with the opening.
T&T Supermarket operates more than 39 stores across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Washington, and California. The company was founded in Vancouver in 1993 and is currently led by second-generation CEO Tina Lee. The Sherway Gardens store will be the chain’s 17th location in Ontario and marks another step in the company’s ongoing expansion across the province.
The new store’s location offers covered parking and easy access to Highway 427 and the Gardiner Expressway, providing convenience for both residents and shoppers from surrounding areas. This site is expected to attract regular traffic from the busy shopping centre while also serving as a destination for Asian grocery products and fresh foods.
T&T is also planning other Ontario expansions, including its largest provincial store at RioCan Empress this fall and a new location in Gilmore. The Sherway Gardens store continues the brand’s focus on providing fresh, specialty groceries and prepared foods in high-traffic, community-focused retail spaces.
