Well-known San Francisco bagel business Daily Driver is planning to open its third Bay Area outpost, this time in Cow Hollow.
Coming to 1977 Union Street, the eatery will land near GIO Gelati, the traditional American restaurant Perry’s Union, and the vegan eatery Wildseed.
According to SF Eater, the restaurant will be 1970s car-themed, and “co-owner Tamara Hicks’s 1977 Ford Ranchero will be parked out front on opening day.”
“When I first moved to the Bay in 1991, I lived on Van Ness and Union streets,” she tells the journal, adding, “This opening is super exciting. A little scary, but it’s such a great community.”
In addition to the bagels and schmears that Daily Driver is known for, the outpost will offer smoothies, salads, soups, pretzels, coffee, and bagel sandwiches.
“We’re the only certified organic bagelry in Northern California,” Hick shares. She continues, “We just really want to continue what we started: Bringing amazing ingredients, regeneratively grown, to urban eaters.”
The outpost is slated to open on December 6.
