Timberline Steaks & Grille, a high-end steakhouse at Denver International Airport in Concourse C, is up next on the property’s long list of planned renovations. The Denver Business Journal announced the restaurant will temporarily close in early January so it can be remodeled.
The concessionaire for the airport, Mission Yogurt Inc., has tapped the eatery and its neighboring tenant, Einstein Bros. Bagels, to be updated. Specifics about what will change have not been released, and the company did not respond to requests for comment prior to publication.
As a result of the two concepts closing, 125 positions will be affected. It’s been reported that over 90 of those employees will be placed in similar positions at F&B vendors within the airport. Roles affected include customer service workers, servers, kitchen staff, hosts, bartenders, and supervisors.
Timberline is known for its log cabin–style atmosphere and extensive menu, which includes USDA prime steaks, organic beef and buffalo burgers, all-natural chicken, sandwiches, and salads. Guests can enjoy more than 40 beers, wines, and spirits, along with desserts including kosher options and Häagen-Dazs ice cream, the DEN website advertises.
Mission Yogurt Inc. operates 12 restaurant concepts at DIA and San Diego International Airport. Timberline is the company’s highest-grossing location in Colorado and the eatery with the highest sales at the airport, it claims.
