Rosso Pomodoro, the popular Neapolitan-style pizzeria in Denver, announced the unexpected closure of its location. Through a social media post, the restaurant shared, “Our restaurants in Denver are now closed.”
Rosso Pomodoro Exits Denver Market
Founded in Naples, Italy, Rosso Pomodoro is an authentic pizzeria known for its creamy mozzarella, charred yet stretchy crust, and sweet San Marzano tomato sauce. The pizzeria is known for its traditional Neapolitan preparation and ingredients.
The closure was announced in an Instagram post shared with Denver customers. The restaurant shared a great appreciation and thanked the community for its love and support. “We thank you all for letting us introduce you to, or rekindle your love for, the Neapolitan culture,” wrote the restaurant.
The restaurant takes pride in using only high-quality, authentic Italian ingredients; homemade dough prepared and proofed daily for 24 hours; and pizzas baked to perfection for 90 seconds in a custom oven.

Following the announcement, customers expressed their disappointment in the comments.
“This is the ONLY pizza I’ve had in the U.S. that tastes exactly like the pizza in Naples. I ordered so many times and introduced so many people to this place because of that. It’s barely been a year,” shared one customer. They further added, “I just can’t understand how this happened, especially since the restaurant always seemed busy.”
Another customer wrote, “It is the worst possible news to us in CO, as it was by far the best high-quality and extremely great-flavored pizza ever! It is sad, but still, thank you for the time we enjoyed your pizzas! Please come back soon!”
The restaurant has not shared any official reason behind the closure. The company noted that fans can still find Rosso Pomodoro pizzas at Eataly locations across North America.
