Another Peet’s Coffee location appears to be brewing in the Greater Sacramento area, with city records pointing to a new shop planned for North Natomas.
According to Sacramento city filings, the longtime specialty coffee roaster and café chain is set to open in the Parks Place shopping center at 2281 Del Paso Rd. The proposed café would occupy Suite 150, taking over a space next to Chef Frank Japanese Cuisine, as reported by the Sacramento Business Journal.
Founded in Berkeley in 1966, Peet’s Coffee has built its reputation on bold, dark-roasted blends and espresso. The menu features signature offerings like the Baridi Cold Brew and Havana Cappuccino, as well as flavored lattes such as vanilla, caramel, and matcha. Breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and a range of grab-and-go food items are also available.
Today, Peet’s operates more than 200 retail cafés across the U.S., with its strongest presence in California. In recent years, the company has streamlined its store footprint, closing several dozen locations while continuing to expand its grocery and packaged coffee distribution, now found in more than 14,000 stores nationwide.
The North Natomas café isn’t the only expansion in the region. Recent reporting indicates another Peet’s location is also planned for a space at the Placer Center retail complex in Roseville, signaling continued growth across the Sacramento suburbs.
The Parks Place café would span roughly 2,900 square feet, according to filings. It would join a lineup of existing tenants such as Frends Brewhouse, Koshi Ramen Bar, The New Yorker Deli, and Mr. Crab.
