Chef Andrea Frizzi is preparing to open a new Italian restaurant Risica, in Denver’s River North Art District.

The restaurant will be at 3463 Walnut Street, on the ground floor of the The Edit River North building, according to the Denver Post. He plans on opening this summer, however there is no exact date.

Frizzi, the restaurateur behind Il Posto and Vero and Risica is flipping the script on Italian dining in Denver. Il Posto closed in 2024. According to the website, the spot will be bold, refined, and full of fire, bringing the soul of Milan into the heart of RiNo with vibrant flavors, sleek design, and undeniable character.

The menu includes citrus-cured salmon, piadine, grilled skirt steak and oven-roasted salmon, reflecting the restaurant’s modern take on Italian cuisine.
