Bayside Kitchen + Bar is now home to a Candy Land-themed pop-up. The Little Italy-based restaurant is hosting the first Candy Land Café ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Guests can experience game-based décor, photo ops, specialty menu items, and more at the pop-up.

Candy Land Café Opens at Bayside Kitchen + Bar for Limited Time

Bayside Kitchen + Bar has been temporarily transformed into a Candy Land-themed dining experience created in partnership with Hasbro, starting July 9.

The concept arrives about two weeks before San Diego Comic-Con 2026, which runs July 23 to 26 (with Preview Night on July 22). The limited-time experience will remain open through October 4, 2026.

Candy Land Café features themed décor, interactive attractions, specialty menu items, and exclusive merchandise. The experience also includes activities for all ages, including DIY cookie decorating and a Sweet Adventure Checklist that guides guests through the space.

The original Candy Land concept dates back to the 1940s, as per Fox 5 Kusi News. At that time, Eleanor Abbott used it as a way to keep kids engaged during the Polio outbreak. Hasbro purchased the game and made modifications during the 1980s. In 2005, the board game joined the National Toy Hall of Fame.

Guests can order themed menu items including popcorn chicken, rainbow burgers, ice cream flights, and chocolate BBQ sliders. The menu also features candy-inspired mocktails and cocktails along with a ‘Chocolate Fundu’ experience.

Appealing displays like a game board path to King Kandy’s, Candy Castle and DIY cookie decoration options are ready to elevate the visuals and fun at the summer attraction. Guests can also take pictures with giant gumdrops and get Candy Land merchandise.

Tickets start at $24.50 per person and include a 90-minute reservation, a $10 food credit, and a $5 merchandise credit.

The Candy Land Café opens today and will run through Oct. 4 as a limited-time attraction in San Diego.
