The city neighboring the airport is soon getting a new coffee option.
A new coffee shop concept called Alibi Coffee House is planned for 749 W Golf Road in Des Plaines, per a report from The Daily Herald. This is at the former Kuhn’s Delicatessen space in the plaza. Co-owner Daniel Kurek told What Now Chicago the team is renovating right now and hoping to open in around six weeks.
Kurek is opening the concept with local entrepreneur Erik Trojak. They were recently given a grant by the city for the project, and those in the plaza have noticed the progress. What Now Chicago has reached out for additional comment from the two on the location.
The coffee shop is opening in the plaza at the intersection of S Elmhurst Road, joining a Planet Fitness and China Wok. A Dollar Tree is also at the plaza, along with Binny’s Beverage Depot. This is west of the city’s downtown and north of O’Hare International Airport.
The Des Plaines shop is the only listed Alibi Coffee House in the area right now. No menu has been released yet.
The Alibi Coffee team has not yet set up social media accounts for the new shop, but will be releasing more information on the concept in the coming weeks.
