A bakery owner in Southwest Michigan has big plans this year.

Wyoming-based Sweet Kisses Bakery is planning a new storefront at RiverTown Crossings Mall, 3700 Rivertown Parkway. The business does not currently have an address, and this looks to be their first brick-and-mortar selling many different desserts. An opening date has not yet been announced.

The owner of Sweet Kisses Bakery is Michelle Johnson, who has been preparing cakes for events like graduations the last two years. She has set up shop at Rivertown Crossings in the past as pop-up. When What Now Detroit reached out to Johnson, she was not available for comment.

Options at Sweet Kisses are cake pops, birthday cakes, cupcakes, brownies and cookies. All of the sweets can be ordered in different packs, with cupcake flavors including strawberry, chocolate, red velvet and cinnamon toast. All of the desserts are available on their website.

The bakery is expected to open in the upstairs area near the Fun Zone. Other dessert options include Bubble House, Dairy Queen and Candylicious. The mall is on the south side of Rivertown Parkway, right off Interstate 196.

Johnson recently posted that she is raising money to help the bakery grow, and fund equipment such as ovens, refrigerators and mixers. As it gets closer to the opening date, she will be releasing more updates on the business’s Facebook page.
