Marina’s Bistro and Rum Bar, a new restaurant that is bringing the flavors of Puerto Rico to the heart of the Uptown District is now open. Owner and Chef Eric Roldan, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, has created a menu that highlights the best of Puerto Rican cuisine, incorporating sustainable and locally sourced ingredients to provide a unique dining experience.

Marina’s Bistro’s menu features classic Puerto Rican dishes, including MOFONGOS, Arroz con Gondules, and Tostones, alongside a selection of handcrafted cocktails. As Eric explains in a statement, “At Marina’s Bistro and Rum Bar, we believe that great food and great drinks go hand in hand. Our dishes and cocktails are designed to provide a taste of Puerto Rico that will leave you wanting more.”

Eric’s culinary journey began at a young age, inspired by his grandmother’s recipes. After Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, he returned to his hometown of Chicago and started his business as a ghost kitchen, offering innovative Latin fusion cuisine. With Marina’s Bistro, Eric is continuing to showcase the unifying force of food and honor his mother’s memory.

“I am thrilled to share my passion for Puerto Rican cuisine with the community,” says Eric. “Marina’s Bistro and Rum Bar is a celebration of my family’s traditions and recipes, and I am excited to welcome diners to our restaurant.”

Marina’s Bistro and Rum Bar is now open for dine-in, takeout, and catering and is located at 4554 N Magnolia Ave, Chicago, IL 60640, and will be open Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
