The McCormick Mansion is having work done to include spaces for magic shows as well as bars and a restaurant.
It was recently reported that entrepreneur Glen Tullman will be taking control of the theater at 100 E Ontario Street to turn it into The Hand & The Eye. This will be a 36,000-square-foot space with different areas for entertainment and eating. According to an article from Chicago Tribune, the opening night of the venue is expected to be in March 2026.
The venue will be in the middle of Magnificent Mile, a historic area just north of The Loop. The Hand & The Eye is already listed as the address at this space.
Andy Lansing, CEO of Levy Restaurants, is working with Tullman to bring bars and a restaurant into the space. The company also manages River Roast, Kendall’s, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse and Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap. He told Chicago Tribune that the food will “be served in the most beautiful dining rooms.”
The menu for the restaurant and bars has not been released as of yet. It was reported the food served will be “retro” in the way it is set up. Lansing said it is comparable to The Pump Room which is now The Ambassador Room.
