Briar Patch, an upcoming restaurant poised to open in Denver’s Congress Park, will be the business replacing the Crepes ‘n Crepes location that shuttered last year. The Denver Post reports that while the eatery is new to the scene, its operator isn’t.

Located at 1222 Madison Street, Briar Patch is coming from the direction of Kent Dawson, who co-owns Briar Common Brewery + Eatery with his brother Greg. That business’s website lists dishes like salads, burgers, sandwiches, and snacks, along with a full bar.

It will be a more dining-focused venture compared to its beer-forward predecessor. The restaurant will open in April and cater to lunch and dinner crowds, with a menu featuring some Briar Common favorites mixed in with new creations.

The Dawson brothers opened Briar Common in 2016, inspired by their childhood memories of blackberry farms outside Portland. Its location in Jefferson Park has made it a neighborhood staple for a beverage or a bite to eat.
