According to recent permits filed with Develop901, construction for a long-awaited Uptown Chick-fil-A is set to begin soon. The fast-casual chicken chain submitted a variance permit to the Board of Adjustment in November 2023.

Located on a 1.37-acre lot at 550 Uptown St, the ground-up, 2,700-square-foot Chick-fil-A will feature a dual-lane drive-thru, 20 outdoor seats, and 49 parking spaces. GBC Design from Ohio has been appointed as the architect and engineer for this Chick-fil-A project.

When asked about the ownership of the restaurant—whether it will be corporate- or franchisee-owned—Todd Williams, Chick-fil-A’s Director of Development and Construction, stated, “Right now, we cannot comment on this deal.”

Prospective patrons of the Uptown Chick-fil-A can anticipate familiar menu offerings, from chicken biscuits, sandwiches, and strips to grilled nuggets, wraps, and the eatery’s signature waffle fries.

Keep an eye out for further updates, including the official opening date, as construction kicks off in the coming weeks.
