Building permits with Metro show a new sushi restaurant is coming to town. Sushi Row, an upscale sushi house serving traditional and innovative Japanese fare, will open at 1234 Martin Road #101 from Colorado-based co-owners Jason Wallenta and Riley O’Brien. Wallenta is also behind the incoming Dos Santos restaurant just steps away from the future site of Sushi Row.

Sushi Row will occupy a “flex space” which will convert an undisclosed portion of the 200,000-square-foot site of T3 Wedgewood-Houston, a timber office building by Hines and Cresset Real Estate Partners.

Although an exact opening timeline is forthcoming, Sushi Row may open in Q4 of 2024 or Q1 of 2025 given the permitting and construction timelines.

Permits note that in addition to the full-service restaurant space, Sushi Row will have “an open-air, but enclosed with a railing, exterior patio.” The build-out is valued at $1.5 million. Armstrong Building Group and Remick Architecture are listed as collaborators on the permit.

Sushi Row debuted its first location in Colorado Springs last year, offering a variety of fresh sushi and entrees like sashimi, beef tenderloin, miso black cod, and a $150 caviar service. Its robust craft cocktail menu features classics like sake-based drinks, a lychee martini, and a full list of Japanese whiskey. Its operating hours at its Colorado location are from 11:30 AM–10 PM Tuesday through Saturday and 11:30 AM–9 PM on Sundays. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
