La La Land Cafe, a specialty coffee and matcha café chain, is getting ready to open its first San Diego location in Del Mar at Del Mar Plaza.

The company’s first San Diego location has officially signed a lease at Del Mar Plaza, according to an Instagram announcement from Brixton Capital. While an opening date has not yet been announced, the new café will introduce the brand’s signature coffee, ceremonial matcha beverages, specialty lattes, coolers, and toast selections to North County. Customers can also expect the bright, modern aesthetic and hospitality that have helped fuel the company’s rapid expansion across several states.

La La Land Cafe has grown quickly from its Texas roots into a national brand with locations throughout Texas, California, Arizona, and Tennessee. The company now operates dozens of cafés, including multiple locations throughout the Dallas area, Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix, Nashville, and Orange County. The Del Mar location marks the company’s first step into the San Diego market as it continues expanding across the country.

The café has become known for its lineup of specialty espresso and matcha drinks, including the La La Latte, Banana Cloud Latte, Strawberry Cloud Latte, Matcha Squared Latte, French Toast Latte, and Upsidedown Latte. The menu also features fruit coolers and a selection of toast options, including Truffle Burrata Toast, Classic Avocado Toast, “The Queen” Avocado Toast, and the M.A.K.A. Toast. The concept emphasizes specialty beverages alongside a simple food menu designed for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon visits.

Del Mar Plaza continues to attract new dining and retail concepts, and La La Land Cafe adds another nationally recognized brand to the center’s tenant mix. This will be an excellent landing space for the café, given the area’s steady foot traffic, coastal setting, and strong mix of residents and visitors looking for coffee, breakfast, and casual meeting spots.
