Texas Card House will soon open a new location in Houston, according to real estate intel obtained by What Now Houston last week.
While an opening date has not been released yet, Texas Card House CEO, Ryan Crow has confirmed plans for expansion in the area. “We’re excited about the Houston market,” Crow told What Now Houston. “We think there’s a lot of great poker players out there and we’re excited to expand in that market.”
The club will be located at 6100 Westheimer Rd in Briargrove Plaza. The space is expected to cover 9,831 square feet. This will be Texas Card House’s fifth poker club in Texas, and the second in the Greater Houston Area. Other locations include Austin, Dallas, Spring, and Rio Grande Valley with more to come. “We actually have two or three new locations all under the process of being opened,” Crow said. “By the end of this year we’ll probably have six locations.”
Texas Card House was first established in 2014 in Austin and bills itself as Texas’ Premier Poker Club. “Texas Card House was the first club of its kind,” Crow said. “We’ve been able to build our brand off the fact that we have a safe place for people to play.” Each location is private membership and offers cards, billiards, sports, and more. They offer low to high stakes poker and daily cash games.
“Our goal when we go into a new market, is to provide the right kind of service,” Crow said. “We feel like in the Houston market, there’s a lot of room for good operators to come in and create a safe and legal place to play. That’s our goal.”
