Planet Fitness has opened a new gym in Sammamish, expanding its presence in the Seattle-Tacoma market. The facility includes a range of fitness equipment and member amenities. The fitness club brings affordable options to the neighborhood.
Planet Fitness Opens New Gym in Sammamish
Planet Fitness has expanded its nationwide presence with the opening of its newest location. The new fitness center is located at 3066 228th Avenue SE in Sammamish. The location is the brand’s 19th location in the Seattle-Tacoma area.
The new location offers affordable memberships, free fitness training, and a welcoming environment for people. It is accessible to people of all fitness levels. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at 2 p.m.

Inside the New Location
The fitness center spans a new 21,141-square-foot space with features that make it ideal for everyone. It includes 83 strength-training machines, 56 cardio machines, a cross-training area, a functional training room, and a stretching space. It also offers free WiFi and TVs connected to cardio equipment.
Black Card members also have access to additional recovery and wellness amenities. This includes HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, recovery loungers, and tanning beds.
Planet Fitness is one of the largest fitness center chains in the world. The company is known for offering low-cost gym memberships and a beginner-friendly approach to fitness. The brand has locations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Panama, Australia, and Spain.
The opening expands Planet Fitness’ presence in the Seattle-Tacoma region. The new gym adds another fitness facility for residents in Sammamish and the surrounding area.
