A project a year-and-a-half in the making is coming to the northern suburb.
Bean & Batter is shifting from just a catering service to a brick-and-mortar, coming to 51808 Gratiot Avenue in the township. This comes from a recent deal carried out by Keystone Commercial Real Estate. Right now, the space is under construction and owner Michael Williams is hoping to open around Nov. 7
Like his catering service, Williams will be serving their signature mini waffles with toppings like whipped cream and fruit. One of the team’s more unique creations is the avocado waffle, very similar to avocado toast. Matchas, drip coffees and refreshers will also be prepared at the location.
“Have a batter day” is the slogan they tell customers. All of the menu items for Bean & Batter are already available on the team’s website.
Bean & Batter will join the plaza with a Leo’s Coney Island. This is also close to Gordon Food Service Store and Panera Bread. The major intersection of 23 Mile Road is a short drive south of the location.
Right now, Williams is working on renovations at the space including painting and installing the bar top. For more updates on Bean & Batter and the official opening, visit their Instagram @beanandbatterco.
