The developing suburb will soon have a new dining option with entrees from both land and sea.

Ellwood Steak & Fish House is seeking expansion as a new location is proposed for 180 W Washington Street, per a recent post from Kendall County Reviews. This would be at the base of The Reserve at Hudson Crossing apartment complex. President of the restaurant Chirag Amin told What Now Chicago he is hoping to introduce the new location to the downtown area by October.

Amin’s original location opened in 2015 at 2219 Sycamore Road in DeKalb. It offers a diverse menu of small plates, lunch and dinner options. Their steaks include a black angus, rib eye and a New York strip. For seafood, salmon, sea bass and shrimp are available.

“A unique local restaurant with an upscale feel,” says the description on their website.

The building is on the north side of Washington Street, right next to the Fox River Trail. Oak + Bean coffee shop is also at the building, and it is across the street from Taco Dale Cantina. As the project is in the proposal reviewal stage, construction has not yet begun.

More updates on the upcoming Ellwood Steak and Fish House can be found on their Facebook page.
