Delectable pastries and morning drinks will soon be made at the new shop.
A new French pastry shop called Krema Patisserie is in the works for 14220 A US-30 in Plainfield. This is affiliated with Krema Coffee Roasters which has locations all around Chicagoland. As of now, it is not confirmed when the new shop will debut.
The pastry spot was first teased a day ago, with a video of the location that is listed as closed at the northwest intersection of W 143rd Street.
“A patisserie is a French bakery that specializes in pastries and delicate sweet treats,” says the recent post. When What Now Chicago reached out to owner Kacie Wadycki, she was not available for comment.
Krema Coffee Roasters is already at four locations around Chicagoland in North Aurora, Tinley Park, Lockport and Plainfield, which is their flagship location. What Now Chicago previously covered the Tinley Park shop opening in September 2023. The upcoming patisserie is about a 10-minute drive from the Plainfield location.
While the new menu has not been released, those going to a Krema Coffee Roasters location can expect typical coffees like cappuccinos, espressos, cortados and cold brews. For brunch items, the Tinley Park shop prepares sandwiches and bagels, toasts, snacks and salads. The roasts are sold in bags and are available online.
The building Krema Patisserie will occupy is closest to the W 143rd-Lincoln Highway intersection, sharing the plaza with Big Sammy’s Restaurant & Bar. Grace Pointe Church Plainfield is also at the plaza. Benzie Design craft store is currently at the building.
More information about Krema Patisserie is to be revealed on Krema Coffee Roaster’s Instagram page or website in the near future.
