Gyro City to Open its Second NYC Location

The fast-casual Greek restaurant, Gyro City, is expanding to a new space in New York City. The restaurant is scheduled to open on April 25, 2026, in Astoria, Queens. The restaurant is known for its authentic Greek street food made with quality ingredients.
This marks the brand’s first expansion since its debut in Greenwich Village.
“Bringing Gyro City to Astoria feels like coming home,” said founder George Karavias. “This neighborhood has such a deep appreciation for Greek culture and cuisine. We’re excited to be part of the community and to share what we’ve built with the same intention, respecting tradition while delivering the highest quality experience possible.”
Inside the Astoria Location
The Astoria location will introduce new menu items. New offerings include mini pitas, along with whole wheat and corn pita options. Customers can also opt for customizable salads, bowls, and souvlaki boxes.
The menu features a full lineup of Greek favorites, including a variety of gyro pitas, souvlaki, kebabs, falafel, and shrimp. The pita bread served at Gyro City is imported from Greece along with other ingredients. It helps the brand maintain authenticity.
