A Longtime Chicago Gastropub Is Returning With a New Downtown Location

Old Town Pour House is returning with craft beers, happy hour specials, and spaces for business lunches.

Old Town Pour House will open its doors again in Downtown Chicago. The restaurant will open on August 3 at 120 N. LaSalle St. Bottleneck Management is bringing the gastropub back to Chicago after its longtime 100 N. Wells St. location closed in 2024.

Old Town Pour House is returning to Downtown Chicago, occupying the former City Social space. Bringing craft beer back to the Loop after closing its longtime home on Wells Street, the opening will reintroduce its lively gastropub atmosphere. The brand also has locations in Oak Brook and Naperville.

The restaurant will feature a craft beer selection, happy hour offerings, multiple dining areas, and a menu of contemporary American dishes.

Operated by Chicago-based Bottleneck Management, the brand is known for its contemporary American menu, elevated pub classics, and beer menu. The new Loop restaurant will offer weekday lunch hours, happy hour, semi-private dining, and pre-theater meals.

Restaurant Details and Opening Offers

The new restaurant spans 6,206 square feet with seating for 285 persons inside and 36 on an outside patio. The location will reflect the Old Town Pour House concept with its gastropub-style design and atmosphere.

Guests will enjoy innovative craft cocktails and mocktails, chef-driven cuisine, and a diverse menu of craft beers.

The restaurant will be offering a variety of giveaways during August to celebrate the opening day. The first 20 guests will receive a welcome package featuring branded merchandise and a gift card.

Visitors can also enter to win more prizes in the restaurant and giveaways of gift cards through the brand’s social media channels before and after the grand opening.

Menu Highlights

The menu at Old Town Pour House offers a variety of shareable appetizers. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will also be available for a wider customer base.

Menu highlights include Nashville Hot Chicken Nachos, Crispy Wings, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Smash Burger Tacos, Fish & Chips, Steak Fajitas, Cajun Linguine, Smoked Cheddar Mac, and Rigatoni.

The drink menu features local and regional craft brews, seasonal house cocktails, mocktails, and a selection of wines. Happy Hour will be available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The restaurant will operate Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations are available through OpenTable.
